Get used to living with Mom and Dad
There is a growing trend of more adults living with
their parents. They are described as lazy overgrown babies. A few reasons why
more and more adults are living at home is because, it is hard for new workers
to get into the working field and also the cost of housing that is climbing. It
isn’t because the generation is lazy it is because of a series of unfortunate
overlapping trends. This causes a disadvantage for them not being able to
become independent like their parents were able to do. Since it is hard for
young people to get jobs it just keeps getting harder because more job are
requiring more schooling. The schooling that you need for a decent job is getting
longer and more expensive. Many young people live at home because they need
experience for career they want to go into, but they have to interne somewhere
to get the experience. When you are interning you don’t get paid which means
you can’t move out if you’re not making money to pay your bills. Lower class
people have always had to have everyone working to keep the house hold afloat. People
are able to own house because of the GI bill that was passes.
